Today was the first time I've ever played a Bass Trombone and only yesterday was I ever told that I have to play it. I'm pretty mediocre at the Trombone and I'm pretty shaky playing high notes, but today was different. When I first began playing it, it felt right. I didn't have to struggle with notes. I could play low notes well and this is my volume, "On or Off". We played for the first time in Jazz today, we just played and improved in 2 keys and we all had turns and I did well both times. the second time though when we played in the Key of F, that I did really well. Mr. A told me that soloing on the low notes was the perfect thing to do on the Bass Trombone. I think this is going to be a wonderful year.
